Eligible applicants include those born with cleft lip, palate, or other craniofacial anomalies who have not received a Cleft Palate Foundation or ACPA scholarship in the past and who will be attending a U.S-accredited institution in Fall 2023. Scholarship winners will be selected based on past academic performance and indications of future academic success, evidence of leadership and/or school and community involvement, and the applicant essay.
You must submit your application by 11:59PM EST on January 31, 2023. Your recommendation(s) and transcripts must also be received by that time in order for your application to be considered complete. No late applications will be accepted or reviewed.
Scholarship Categories & Eligibility Criteria
Randall/LaRossa Honors Scholarship Award – One $10,000 award
- Have a diagnosis of cleft lip and/or cleft palate or other congenital craniofacial difference.
- Not have received a college scholarship from ACPA or the Cleft Palate Foundation in the past.
- Be enrolled full-time in an accredited post-secondary institution or program in the United States during the year of award.
- Preference is given to students in a field of study related to cleft or craniofacial conditions.
- Cumulative GPA of at least 3.75
Randall/LaRossa General Scholarship Award – One $5,000 award
- Have a diagnosis of cleft lip and/or cleft palate or other congenital craniofacial difference.
- Not have received a college scholarship from ACPA or the Cleft Palate Foundation in the past.
- Be enrolled full-time in an accredited post-secondary institution or program in the United States during the year of award.
- Preference is given to students in a field of study related to cleft or craniofacial conditions.
- Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 unweighted
Randall/LaRossa Vocational or Technical Scholarship Award – One $5,000 award
- Student must be enrolled in a community, vocational or technical school.
- Have a diagnosis of cleft lip and/or cleft palate or other congenital craniofacial difference.
- Not have received a college scholarship from ACPA or the Cleft Palate Foundation in the past.
- Be enrolled full-time in an accredited post-secondary institution or program in the United States during the year of award.
- Preference is given to students in a field of study related to cleft or craniofacial conditions
- For students attending vocational or technical school ONLY
- Cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 unweighted
